Deputy Chairman of the Committee Vitalii Yarema stressed that “real state of propensity for corruption testifies to significant gaps both in the sphere of legislative support of law enforcement and in the sphere of prevention and counteraction to corruption and also in practical implementation of anti-corruption regulations determined by the law.”
V.Yarema noted that this year Ukraine is again at the bottom of the list of “Transparency Іnternational” that measures the corruption level among 200 countries.
Participants of the meeting granted a hearing to information of the NGO “The All-Ukrainian Special Panel on Combating Corruption and Organized Crime”, under which regional anti-corruption programmes are implemented only in several regions of Ukraine. V.Yarema noted that this issue will be discussed during the next meetings of the Committee. The people’s deputy invited all of the interested parties for cooperation with the Parliament in order to refine anti-corruption legal basis.
